Beim Autofahren - While driving

kann man immer etwas erleben. Heute zum Beispiel wurde ich auf der I-24 East von einem Haus überholt, genauer gesagt einem Haus auf einem riesigen LKW. Und nein, ich bin nicht geschlichen. Ich fuhr 65 mph als mich das Haus mit geschätzten 70 mph (112 km/h) überholte. Unglaublich! Hier kann man was erleben. Von so alltäglichen Sachen wie nichtexistentem Sicherheitsabstand, oder Telefonieren während man an der Cola rumnuckelt will ich gar nicht erst anfangen. Daran hat man sich ja schon lange gewöhnt ;)

there's always something happening. Today on I-24 East for instance I'd been overtaken by a house, well by a house on a huge truck. And no, I was not driving slowly. I drove about 65 mph as the house passed me with aproximately 70 mph. Unbelievable. These things only happen around here in the States. I don't want to start talking now about the nonexistant safety distance, or people talking on the cell phone while drinking Coke ;) I got used to it.

Und dann konnte ich mich so richtig schön über mich selbst kaputtlachen. Heute war nämlich so richtig schönes Frühlingswetter. Strahlender Sonnenschein, über 20 Grad und ich auf dem Weg zu Bi-Lo. Hach, da wollte ich mir so den warmen Wind um die Nase wedeln lassen, nachdem es ja die ganze Zeit so kalt war. Ich stand an einer Kreuzung, ließ die Fenster runter, fuhr um die Kurve ... und (Mensch jetzt muss ich schon wieder lachen) alles was sich im Winter im Auto so ansammelt, leicht und mit etwas Fahrtfind flugfähig war, flog aus dem Auto. Uuuups, schnell weg und bloß nix anmerken lassen. Peinlich, peinlich. Ist euch das auch schon mal passiert?

Furthermore I could laugh about myself the entire day. It's been such a nice weather today. The sun was shining bright, more than 75 degrees and I was driving to Bi-Lo. Well, I wanted to enjoy the weather and the warm wind after it was being very cold the last months. I was standing at a busy intersection when I opened my windows. Guess what happened? While I was driving around the corner (omg, I've got to laugh again) everything light weighted that's been gathered in the winter time flew out of the windows. Ooooops, gotta get out of here and don't look back. So embarrassing. Has this ever happened to you guys?
